As you may recall from the Puppy Pages, our litter was themed on favorite Children's books, and the book Stellaluna is one of our favorites. Plus, it gives us the wonderful opportunity to bellow out in a full Stanley voice, "STELLAAAAAAAA!!!"
(per Streetcar Named Desire, although Elaine also did a fantastic rendition in an episode of Seinfeld)

At the 11th Annual Labor Day Hunt Test Clusters, Stella qualified in three straight days to complete her Junior Hunter title! Way to go Stella! Way to go Jeni - Stella's rookie handler and trainer!

It is the best feeling in the world to watch the little pup that we watched being born and raised up every moment of her life, training her from the very start with this as one of our goals -- and then to watch her achieve that first title so young! 14 months old!!! We have photos of the pups each playing with wings as soon as they could totter around, with clip wings flushing and retrieving as soon as they had their full set of vaccs, their first ventures into water.... And now the first of them has a hunting title!!! There is simply NOTHING better!!!

30 July 2005 : At their FIRST ever hunt test (Double Newbie Alert!!) Jeni and Stella PASSED for their first Junior Hunter leg!

In front, a bursting with pride Jeni, and a "I knew I was ALL THAT!" Stella, who is just a month over 1 year old!

(Jeni's t-shirt reads " BAT-A-TUDE!! " The children's book Stellaluna is about a little bat, hence this is Jeni's shirt for Stella!)

	This is just before they were going - neither Stella nor Jeni look very nervous, do they?!
	Get out! Jeni sends Stella off on their first hunt test!
	Cover was a bit high for photography as you can probably see. Often Stella vanished from view and we could just see the tips of the grasses swaying to see where she was!
	She's birdy! She is just here stalking up on the first bird!
	She got it! Good dog!
